16. That's exactly what I said below.
:-)

More voters live in urban areas than small towns.

21. Well thanks to our messed up EV system, Rural America's votes count more than urban America
The voter to EV ratio says it all.

8. Keep dividing us

I live in Fauquier County, a county that is huge and has lots of farms and wineries...While I'd guess I see more McCain signs, it's not by a significant amount.

15. Yes...he basically said "The Obama campaign spent a lot of money, BUT..."
I was getting that Sarah Palin "This is the REAL America" vibe from him.

10. As usual, Buzz gets it wrong
we did. We Baracked the Vote early.

What a dumbass. Two more years of that treasonous idiot and he's history, too. I can't wait. I wonder if Biddy Dole's broom has a spare seat to take him with when we pack her wrinkled, sagging old ass off today.

12. I hate to break it to Richard Burr: more voters live in urban areas.
The bigger cities in the more populous states have more electoral votes too. And many Democrats live in small towns also. They are not a monolith.

22. would those be the rural voters who've been boned up the ass by the bush administration?
factories closed, jobs shipped overseas, school funds cut, job training funds cut, sending their young to fight in a crazy war cause there's no work at home anymore?

is he talking about THOSE rural americans?

those ruby red slippers so she can click her heels and go back home to Kansas.

25. I'm in NC and I can tell you that ...
...Richard Burr is a Republican-party-line Republican through and through. I will say this much for him, though; in the last five years, I've emailed both Burr and Dole (and my congressman, Brad Miller, but he's a Democrat and I just include him out of courtesy <g>) five times. In Burr's case, I have *each time* received a snail mail response within ten days or so. I never agree with him, or he with me, but at least his office responds. Emailing Liddy Dole has been emailing a black hole. Never even an acknowledgment, not even an automatic one, much less a response.

We're kicking her out today, though (welcome, Senator Kay Hagan, from right here in Greensboro), and we'll kick Senator Burr out in 2010.

30. Hello, neighbor!
I get those IRRITATING boilerplate snailmails back (courtesy of RovePress Inc) that never have anything useful in them. For Dole's first four years and Burr's first two, the second paragraph always started out "As you know, since 9/11.." blah blah friggindyblah for another page and a half that could have been summed up with "I really don't give a damn what my constitutents think. As a Prince of the Nation, I intend to line my pocket by doing as I damnwell please (by rubberstamping whatever neoKKKon nonsense crosses my desk)."

Meh. He's gone in two years. I intend to remain a thorn in his arse every day of it, as I have for the past four of his term.

Biddy Dole has answered (e)mails. She hasn't been terribly pleased with me, either. I'm pretty sure I'm on some sort of list. I'm polite, but very, very, very pointed. Pubbies hate facts. Oh, those pesky facts, getting in the way of neoKKKon agenda. If you're going to spy on us, Biddy, we're going to watch you like a hawk, sister. Now get back up on that broom and het your wrinkled arse back to Kansas or wherever it is you swooped in from.

Perhaps he prefers the quality of life in the city where he lives, even though it's a smallish city.
