I have been unable to bring myself to look at projected electoral maps and polls. I mean I obviously know we're ahead, but I don't want to get ahead of myself and then be devastated as I was in 2000 and '04. It's all a bit surreal right now.

Finally, the one I supported and wanted to win from the beginning, from before the primaries, won.
Admittedly, Kucinich might have had the best strong progressive policies to offer, but he'd not have been able to beat Hillary.
And, sorry fans, Hillary would have led an only slightly more enlightened administration than her husband, and his policies were a little too friendly to globalists and corporations and not particularly aligned with sustainability energy or economic policies.
So, having passed the first hurdle of the primaries, and what a gripping set of contests those were, and now being poised to take this general election, I'm indescribably happy and surprised to have lived long enough to see my first choice make it this far and, presumably, become President.
