I bet you that's what they did... took John Edwards' overall profile and added Obamas' features. Then for McCain looks a bit like Trevor McDonald's head to me... but then I might be wrong sorry I'm bad with faces period.

Race is an issue in this country. And, race is an issue in this election.
I think the artist is ignoring the two ton elephant in the room.
How we solve racism in this country starts by treating race, racism and race-relations seriously instead of ignoring it. Race should never be downplayed or minimized.

McCain as black, for example. I think there would be plenty of people who tout themselves as non-biased and non-racist but would be shocked at their own reaction, I believe.
