Urgent And Important Question From Me And I'm Sure A Lot Of Other DU'ers! Please Answer If You Know! |
|
Early vote totals, when are they going to be added to the returns? Some states with early voting are already reporting today's precinct results, but are the early voting numbers in there? How and when will they be added? Anyone know? THANKS!!!

1. don't know about anywhere else |
|
but my county is going to start posting results this evening and they will include the early votes that have been counted (today and yesterday, I think), but the stuff that got handed in today won't get counted until tomorrow or the day after.

3. I believe they just get counted with whatever precincts they are associated with |

4. I noticed when voting today in Wisconsin, one of the clerks had |
|
a stack of folded ballots, the same as the one I voted on, which appeared to be mail ins, and she was feeding them into the scanner. So, I am assuming in my city, they will probably be part of the final count when closing. And the early, in person voters, were probably already in the totals also.

5. Early votes, for the most part, will be included in precinct numbers |
|
if you think about it, how could they do it any other way.
early voting stops a couple of days before election day so that they can takes the names of those who have voted early off the roles.....otherwise they would be in jeopardy of people voting twice, right?
But any of the results you are seeing right now are from very small, rural areas because the larger urban and suburban areas are going to need more time to count.
