Chris Matthews just rolled his eyes at Maddow
when she started saying "it's not in the bag for Obama. he might just have spent a lot of money to lose by a little instead of a lot in the tranditionally red states"

Matthews just rolled his eyes at her and had a wry grin on his face

10. The after-work crowd just hit out west
We've got 2 1/2 hours to go.

GOTV is over, though -- now they want people to stand at intersections and wave signs.

Liked her better when she was filling in for Keith. But I'm sure that's just me!

13. In many respects, Rachel is stupid
Sorry to say that but it fits. If Obama is losing narrowly in the deep red states, that means he is winning comfortably in the vital swing states.

As James Carville said a half hour ago, "There is no way to separate the national number from the state number."

Absolutely correct. And if Obama is within fractions in Indiana, he is winning the national popular vote by significant margin. That will grasp the electoral college.

In Rachel's case, it's not merely runaway pessimism. She doesn't understand basic relationships.

16. She's ok but she tries to copy some of Keith's mannerisms too often
She does the same voice gestures too much.

Still, she's been good overall for Democrats, although Keith is by far the best.

keep legitimacy with independent-voting viewers.

22. I like Rachel. And she's right. This isn't in the bag for Obama yet.
As much as everyone else wants to say that Obama's already won this, he hasn't. Rachel is the only one prudent enough to say that. After 2004, I prefer prudence to premature applause.
