any word on the Younger vote turnout?

1. I made sure my 19 year old nephew

got out and voted and he voted for Obama.

2. I don't have any real proof (polls, etc)

However, just because of the early voting as well as the inspiration, I do believe the youth vote has turned out. From what I've read so far it has.

There were some nice posts earlier here on DU today talking about mass

quantities of younguns lined up and ready to vote!! (other than that, I don't know!)

3. Talked to my daughter and nephew

who are both in college, one in IN and one in PA, the kids were out voting like crazy. a friend of mine who has 2 kids in college said her kids said the same thing.

My daughter goes to Edinboro in PA, she said it was Obama crazy up there, the kids were pumped!

But right now it says that 75% of the people in my age group - 18-29 - voted for Obama. That's why I don't get it when people on here hate on the South and NC - I always thought it was differences in experiences and perceptions based on age, and this pretty much confirms that.
