4. Will you stop posting these ridiculous one-thought threads?
The rural (red) areas are always reported first because there are fewer voters to count.

6. You need to focus on what counties are reporting.
Counties with big urban (Obama-advantage) areas are larger and take more time to report.

Small rural counties come in faster.

27. Not every precinct uses machines. Many use paper ballots!
The bad news is that it differs from precinct to precinct and from county to county...

Don't worry. We got this!!

21. Virginia looks good to me. The counties that have come in have
pretty much been a given. But Buchanan County came in blue, which shocks me. Albemarle came in blue, probably thanks to UVA, and Henrico is a blowout for Obama. Wait until Fairfax, Prince William, Norfolk, and so forth start coming in.

22. WTF?
Obama is running ahead of Kerry and Webb in the republican counties that have come in. The cities, Hampton Roads, and Northern Virginia have yet to report. Wait for Fairfax County. It has more than one million people.

30. I'm taking it that you've never watched election results come in because your post is irrational
and naive.

It is not going to help if all night long, across the country, if you post things like this after a miniscule amount of the vote is in.

31. Exit polls are great for Obama!
Exit Polls: Sweep Virginia?
In the Hotline battleground of VA, exit polls show:

- Obama leading men by 6% and women by 12%

- African-American turnout is 21% -- unchanged from ‘04

- 90% of voters think the economy is not so good/poor -- a group breaking 56-43% in Obama's favor
