1. One of my sisters was SDS
and very left wing until she married an executive type and then turned all Reaganette on me. Since then she has been very hard core right wing. It has placed a significant strain on our relationship to say the least. All I can say is "I feel your pain."

3. well, sort of
my lifelong republican mother decided that McDickhead was too erratic and hot-headed, not to mention old, and Caribou Barbie just pisses her off, so she just didn't vote for President. She seems to like Obama enough, she just couldn't quite get there yet, so I guess one less vote for McGrumpy will have to do.

6. My younger sister is married to a Fundie. Lives in Rhode Island. Called me earlier....
Asking who wants to tax healthcare benefits. I told her McCain.

I think I had her convinced to vote Obama but my brother-in-law is a lost cause.

7. Unfortunately, no. All three of my Kool-Aid drinking sisters voted for the old one.
I tried. They are hopeless. It's hard to believe we're in the same family. Thankfully, my auntie and cousins are with me!

14. My wife voted for McCain.
So I'm not very popular at work or at home right now. :(

But I still can't get this big grin off my face.

She knows I love her, and she loves me, but she's fairly upset with me and the anger in her voice is evident.

We will talk this one through tonight like lovers do. I hurt when she hurts and she knows that. Hugs to my wife, pacing in the next room, depressed and restless. I love you hon. And if Obama knew you, he'd love you too, I'm sure.

:loveya:

17. My racist father in NC voted for Obama.
He told me that it wasn't the skin color of the candidates that mattered, but who he thought could do a better job as President. I never thought I would see the day. I'm so proud of him.

My brother in law and another sister voted for Obama. They have a son in law who served in Iraq and a son currently in the military. Their oldest daughter was also a Marine.
