How was your voting place different this year? And did they have munchies at your sign-in table? |
|
If so, what did they have to munch on?
At our sign-in table they had chex mix in one bowl, candy gumdrops in another, chocolate kisses in another and something else in a 4th bowl, I forget what it was.
It's the first time I can ever remember where we had to wait in line more than a few minutes to vote here in northern NY. Looks like turnout is going to break records even in solid blue states like mine. yeah

1. The booths were full, so they brought out tables |
|
and people just sat down and filled out their ballots so it would go faster. Not so private but if you wanted the privacy, you could wait.
(We fill in circles and it's read via optical scan).

2. In my area of Los Angeles (San Gabriel Valley) I've never waited more than 2 minutes. Today? 45 min. |
|
It was thrilling. I actually stood in line to vote. And this is a real liberal area, so I'm thinking that many people were out to vote NO on Prop 8.

There will be a long awaited voting hoiday, maybe music, and maybe also munchies in the line. How nice! No more Diebold, No More Bull Shit and let all of us ring out Real DEMOCRACY in the future!
