IMO The Coverage Is A Ratings Scam...
on all the networks. When their exit polling suggests a McCain win they call it for him even with 0% reporting. When they get the same for Obama it's "to close to call". Then they let the results for the more populous areas dribble in to keep us watching. It's horse-shit.

2. No, they're calling them based on exit polls.
Besides, MSNBC has called more states for Obama than they have for McCain.

3. That's What I Said.
They call them for McCain and string us along for Obama. They know exactly how this is going to come out.

4. I have no idea what you're talking about.
MSNBC called nearly every state Obama has won thus far almost immediately after the polls closed, including Pennsylvania.

What more do you want?

7. There Were Actual Vote Counts When Those States...
were called for Obama. They use the actual voting trend as a check against their exit polling (and to string this along) when it comes to Obama. They go straight with the exit polling when it comes to McCain.

5. HUH?
Have you paid any attention to CNN and the maps? If you have, you'll know that a lot of factors go into calling a state other than those percentages you see up there. It has to do with which parts of the state have reported and whether those are Dem or Repug. It's about trends and not raw numbers. Chill out and stop clogging up this board with inane comments.

9. Don't Ever Tell Me What To Post On This Board.
If you don't like it alert the mods. Have you been watching CNN and the maps? I've seen them call three states for McCain with 0 percent of the vote counted. If they're basing these quick calls on exit poll data, which I'm sure they are, then why don't they call these "to close to call states" based on exit polling as well? Because they want us to watch their coverage and commercials.

10. Thanks for the edit. I couldn't figure out why the fuck you said that to me.
Hang in there, I'm anxious too.

But optimistically so. :)

12. So Sorry.
:pals: I'm using a crummy little laptop with crummy keyboard and an even crummier touch-pad. It's the pits. I'm totally confident, I just think the media is hedging. This is a huge ratings night for them
