a real mixed bag of people- an architect, a newspaper editor, a mason, a horticulturist, a farmer, assorted kids. We all watched the results of 2000 and 2004 together and mourned those results. What a difference there was last night. We mostly watched BBC America for returns. It was a riot.

The 11 o'clock results came in and then BAM! the Graphic went up that Obama was elected...my mom and sister, in their rooms, started screaming...I ran outside and honked my horn for several seconds! :bounce:

37. I was online here at DU

at 9:30, the numbers here in Virginia began to start moving in Obama's favor, my gf in Austria was online in Vienna :wow: watching and listening to the news over there. 10 pm I saw that Obama won Ohio by a HUGE margin, but they held from calling Virginia. I figured by 11pm we'll know, so I took a very short break from DU and watched some Food Network shows..for about 15 minutes :evilgrin:
