Obama carries interesting county in KY(seriously, never woulda imagined it)

Obama was able to carry a county in kentucky that i just cant believe.
as someone whos been to the county to enjoy the outdoors alot ... let me share about the point of view of the people...

in the late 60s my family owned a cotton mill plant in the small town that seats the county. it was burnt to the ground because my family hired a african american as the foreman to watch the place over night.
everytime ive been to the small town, i am stared at in evil ways ... as if being told 'we dont take kindly to strangers round these parts' and ive always... ALWAYS felt un-easy inside the small town.

Obama just carried the county 61% to 36%.

seriously guys. if you had ever been to this place, you would be just as amazed as i am. of all the counties i expected obama to maybe win, i never in my wildest years would have EVER thought it would be go blue.


So, thank you Elliott county. all 1,500 of ya. Thank you for proving you think for yourself.
