JOHN KING
Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 10:25 PM by livedemocarticordie
of CNN has done a very good job tonight on showing the comparisons for Mcain with Bush performance in the last election. Everywhere McCain has underperformed in the tradiitonal rural and white repub territories especially in the battleground states...He has been going in on the internals and pointing these comparisons out all night...it's over and has been for a while

1. When you say "underperformed" what does that mean?
Is he getting beaten by Obama because Obama has brought out new voters, or are Republican voters in those areas simply not voting this year because they are not excited about McCain?

2. it
means he is getting substantially less percentage in same/select counties than BUSH did in the last election. And OBAMA is "overperforming" in some of these counties meaning OBAMA is getting more than KERRY...

9. Interesting, thanks.
Without knowing if the turnout increased, it's hard to guess whether that means Obama just brought out more voters (and McCain got the same voters as Bush) or if some of the Bush voters actually flipped.

4. CNN and King deserve major props for their coverage tonight.
There's really no contest here - they are the pros.
