Are we losing NC?
Not that it matters, but it looks like McCain's picked up the lead there. More up to date news appreciated.

3. Right now it's tied for all intents and purposes.
Mecklenburg County has not reported yet - it's huge and we should win there.

4. Considering the fact that Kay Hagan kicked Liddy Dole's BE-hind,
it doesn't look good for McCain.

5. 50/50 according to wral
Still much too close to call. However, major cities haven't finished counting votes. On the other hand, the remaining counties are pretty red.

In good news it looks like the Democrat may have won the governorship. Very very close race though.

9. I just went and looked at the counties
Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 10:31 PM by sleebarker
And some of the counties with the least amount of precincts reporting are Obama areas, so it could easily turn back for Obama.

11. Obama is significantly under performing Perdue
That's the relationship I've been looking at all night. Perdue still leads the gov race by more than 100,000, while Obama has fallen slightly behind.

Prior to election day, many polls had Obama and Perdue roughly the same, up by a point or two. It looks like that was off. But both can still win. I'm thrilled Perdue is ahead. This is gravy for Obama. We can't afford to lose a governorship.

13. McLame is ahead at the moment, but.....
Mecklenburg hasn't reported all precincts yet, and the NC Board of Elections site has 0% reporting from Buncombe County. That's Ashevile, and O should do pretty well in that area. The NC BOE site kicks ass!
