Your Secial Comments about the war to Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney were right on, and nobody else had the courage to say them. How many times I watched them with my mouth hanging open in wonder that you were not afraid.

Your criticisms went right down to the heart of the matter, and I don't know if President-Elect Obama knows it or not, but you certainly did your share to bring out facts that nobody else had the courage to do.

I hope the President-Elect invites you to the White House as soon as Michelle gets the key.

18. I thought the Keith Olbermann SNL's bit, while as customary for SNL was too long,

was really funny satire. Even Keith enjoyed the lampooning, and said lampooning demonstrates what a influential figure Keith is, for us to laugh with him. The SNL folks obviously know and follow his program enough to know his characteristics, and respect him enough to give him the autographed Ben Affleck cue cards, so this skit was for his fans. The fact that McCain pounced on this satire as a rescue plan for the death rattle and thought this was the CPR for his campaign: he was mistaken. McCain and his minions obsessed about Keith in the last days of MCain's HAL Space Odyssey campaign, who thought he had a gotcha, yet it was missing the point entirely, is even more embaressing for McCain, yet deliciously powerful for Olbermann. With props to Jim Ward...Daisy, daisy, g..i..v...e...me...an...an...s...end of line.

It cannot have been an easy thing for him to buck the NBC/MSNBC norm over the last few years. I honestly think that our encouragement and support helped him to do the right thing. He used our reaction to test the waters, and I believe that our feedback is what prompted him to become more and more vocal, more passionate about airing the truth. Throughout 2008, he has been amazing.

Keith has been that renewing breath of fresh air in a media corps whose stagnant stench is relentlessly nauseating.
