9. I can finally say this without fear since Obama has won: McCain is a good guy
I don't care what any DUers say, there is some good there. When my family was in a horrific wreck a decade ago, he wrote us the nicest, personal, handwritten note I've ever read.

There I said it. Fuck whoever wants to flame me. Go smoke a joint instead of flaming me k? President Obama yo.

66. why flame you for giving credit where credit is due?
That was a nice thing for him to do, and it's not surprising, especially in light of his speech tonight. When my family and I were listening to him we were all looking at each other in amazement, wondering where this McCain had been, because he was incredibly gracious--and it really did seem sincere tonight, as though he'd been pretending during the campaign to be someone he wasn't in order to appeal to the blood-craving Republican base.

I'm very, very sorry about the wreck. It must have been terrible.

38. Allow me to interject some realism
And, no, I don't care about karma or being humble in victory, etc. McCain is and always has been a douchebag. He discarded his wife for one that could finance his political goals. When he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar with Keating, he was able to turn around his image to be a maverick fighting government corruption by sponsoring some toothless legislation that ultimately did nothing. He learned how to manipulate the media and hide his temper. The maverick act didn't work in 2000 so he adopted the same behavior used against him, sucked up to the extremists in the base, and used the same bunch of people who attacked him to attack Obama. To top it off, he showed what he really thinks about women by thinking that by putting an unqualified woman whose political views are diametrically opposed to those of Hillary that her female supporters would be shallow and/or stupid enough to be blinded by the fact they share the same kind of sex organs to vote for them.

Note how the Obama crowd was gracious towards McCain, even silent when he conceded.

McCain's crowd booing Obama, chanting USA, whatever.

And I am sorry to say it, but you know what I mean, when you look at someone and you can tell by a look at his face that the elevator does not go to the top?

Well that's what I thought when I looked at the faces of the McCain crowd.

And the lack of diversity... Look at Obama's crowd, what a diverse bunch.
