1. Yes It Is
And he does seem relieved. I predict he'll go back to being an independent, sort of.

They're ruining it with their random shouts.

6. Agreed....and it's genuine.
This is the McCain the appeals to a broad section of voters..... not the one that we saw in the last 6 months.

Good on ya, John... finish it with class.

He is really trying... in difficult circumstances....
Everything he has said is spot on. Perfect as a concession speech.

I voted for him in the Republican primary of 2000. I was glad to see Palin cry.

Oh, it's days like these that I wish I had a tv set. I would love to have seen Palin cry about her dashed, delusional hopes! :woohoo:

It certainly surprised me. I didn't think he had it in him. Palin, however, had no class at all but I expected no less.

starts to applaud. I began to be proud of the growing members of his audience, as some heard McCain's heart felt concession.

23. "Association"...
Did y'all catch that? "We are all Americans, and that association means more to me than any other." The closest I think we'll hear to an apology for the guilt-by-association tactics of his campaign... and perhaps an acknowledgment that it wasn't the way he wanted it run.

And yes, a good concession speech... made all the better because it was a CONCESSION speech!

27. Yes, it was. Too bad some of his supporters were not so classy.
And he spent some period of time egging them on, or at least not stopping what was going on in general with his campaign, though not as much as Palin.

29. Agreed.
McCain's concession speech was the one he needed to give.

I may be in a minority here, but I hold no ill will toward him. His ideas and values are wrong, and they were rejected. Fair enough.

Palin can still go get bent, though.
