We're leading in NC and Ind
I know it doesn't matter, but it's the principal of the thing.

2. Matters to me, too
I want this to be as resounding a victory as possible.

I'm also hoping that Obama will win the popular vote by at least 8 or 9 million by the time this thing is over.

23. Franklin and Wilson counties were the last to report
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/state/#NC
They put Obama over, because he was trailing a little bit before then.

15. Will they want to count the provisionals before they call it?
It matters to me. Especially NC. We work our butts off in this red state, and get very little credit. I want the bragging rights at the very least.

16. it very much matters
A strong Dem showing helps many local and state candidates. Also, the final electoral college numbers will be a talking point we will be hearing for the next 20 years.

22. Here in NC, we kept a Democratic governor
our first female governor, by the way. :) And we elected a Democratic senator over Dole, and in my congressional district a Democrat won over the Republican incumbent.

So yeah.
