NC's big newspaper: Obama Wins NC.
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 12:41 AM by Lex
Here:

An unreported cache of votes in Buncombe County tipped North Carolina for Obama.

The 17,000-vote margin in the mountain home of Asheville helped overcome the 5,000-vote lead that John McCain has had in reported votes by the State Board of Elections.

The final numbers would be 49.7 percent for Obama, 49.4 percent for McCain.

The 10,000 vote difference is a little less than the number of write-in votes cast for president and even slimmer than the 0.8 percent win by President George H.W. Bush here in 1992.

Judging people by where they live is as bad as judging them by any other external characteristic like skin color or reproductive organs.

13. Not only that, you're now welcome into the new Southern branch of the Eastern Liberal Elite ;)

Congratulations, you damned fellow commies :)

People do need to recognize that the only thing "wrong" with many parts of this country are that progressives have failed to communicate with them, listen to them, and tailor their messages to them. When progressives make a genuine effort, rather than sit around and cluck their tongues at the "backwards" people, they get results.

9. Congrats to North Carolina!
My sister lives in Hendersonville and she is thrilled at the outcome in her state. I told her all along I doubted it would happen so she can rub it in. :)

Plus, Perdue won the governorship.
