The Sense of Privilege

I feel such a sense of privilege now, a privilege that Republicans abused for the past 8 years. For example:

- On FB, suddenly a bunch of us are overjoyed, and now we are the ones who are outspoken in our statuses! Previously the Republicans were the outspoken ones, but they grew completely silent around 10PM EST tonight. They get to enjoy 4 years of being shy about speaking up!

- When I put my Obama magnets on my car, I now will do so with the thrilling knowledge that I am representing the majority of Americans - by at least 4 million voters!

- I put my Obama pin on my jacket permanently now. If anyone doesn't like it then I will shame them for not supporting our President elect!

I will thoroughly enjoy and relish the sense of privilege that Obama's win, his win by a mandate of Americans gives us! From now on, my support of our President-elect is out and proud, and I will openly wonder about the patriotism of those who do not join me!
