1. Isn't this going to be a runoff anyway?
If none has 50% +1 ?

9. I don't think so in a 3 way race...
...although a recount is likely either way.

Let's hope he can win by more than half a percent, or keep it within it. Thanks for the info, OB!:hi:

No. Former governor Jesse Ventura won in a three-way race as a Reform party candidate.
I can't remember the exact numbers, but he received somewhere in the neighborhood of 38% of the votes (interestingly, the Republican candidate during that race was Norm Coleman).

28. The arrowhead (iron range) is Democrat country.
Most of Duluth is still out (there have only been 40,000 or so votes in St. Louis Co despite being 134,000 registered).

29. The Independence Party strikes again.
I just can't believe it. In Al's race, in Tinklenberg's race, and in Ashwin Madia's race, the Independence Party candidate acted as a spoiler and enabled an unpopular Republican to squeak by and win.

This is Jesse Ventura's legacy to this state. Unbelievable. If Democrats want to start winning again, they're going to have to quit ignoring these blowhards and take them down just like any other candidate. Ugh. I'm just disgusted tonight.

30. GO AL!!!!
I've really been pulling for Al since he announced for Senate. Al's sharp, did a great job on Air America radio and of course his books were also terrific. Hard to believe Coleman is threatening to pull it off, but incumbency has its advantages most years.

Come on Al!!!

40. A lot of the pro-Franken Iron Range counties are still reporting.
St. Louis Co., for instance, has only about %20 in, I think, and Franken is winning there handily so far. We can still do this. Remember, Jim Webb pulled it out against Allen in the final reported precincts.
