Berrien County in Michigan
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 01:01 AM by erinlough
is a solid (supposedly) red county. I live here and I can tell you I have never seen it go blue. It is the county of Benton Harbor a black city that is across the river from St. Joseph, which is all white. It was even the subject of a book about the two cities. Tonight it went blue 52% to 46% for Barack Obama. This is a historic night!

I forgot to add it is the home of Rep. Fred Upton (R), who won tonight.

1. Wow!
I do know the area and that is amazing (fellow Michigander/Michiganian in Detroit). Thanks for the info, erinlough! :-)
