My Mom voted today...with ALS |
|
My Mom was diagnosed in July 07 with Bulbar-Onset ALS. She has almost beaten the regular diagnosis odds so far (dead 18 months from diagnosis).
She went to vote today, with the assistance of my little brother, at 7:30 a.m. He took her early, so they could both vote and he could get to work by 9.
She can't speak, and walks very slowly with a walker. She voted for Obama and Kerry. I assume no on 1, yes on 2, and yes on 3.
I'm proud of her tonight. My Mom rocks. :)

And she's tough as nails. I'm just so happy she made it to see another Dem elected. I'm sure she's ecstatic. :D
