Tinklenberg lost. Madia lost too. Coleman is leading and Franken's running out of districts. All in a state that Obama won easily. This after they failed to recapture the Governor's seat in the Democratic wave of '06. The DFL has shown in state race after state race that they can win. Yet, it seems that in every high-profile race, they can't help but underperform.

It's a night of big Democratic wins, but yet again the DFL has to sit and wonder what the hell went wrong. It's disappointing to say the least.

2. She has a loud voice

but small power, repubs aren't going to be pushing her type of rhetoric to the fore at a time like this IMO, and if they do we'll give them a national drubbing again. Even her hero Palin is at least putting a public facade of "positivity" in campaigning right now. But as you mentioned hopefully the DFL can regain strength in the coming years,

3. I am sure this has nothing to do with Fortune 500 Companies, based in the Twin Cities.

Oh, I was so hoping that she would be gone along with Coleman. But at least we can count what blessings we now have.

7. It sure isn't the DFL of the 60's and 70's--Hubert Humphrey, Orville Freeman, Walter Mondale and
Eugene McCarthy--that's for sure.
