Looks like Missouri will lose its bellwether status
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 02:03 AM by Terran
I live here, and I say good. Not good that we didn't support Obama better, but maybe now the rest of the country will cease to invest that modicum of unwarranted wisdom in my fellow citizens.

It's close, only 2%, but it probably won't happen for BHO. Maybe in four years, if we're smart(er).

By the way, at 10PM central time when CNN called it, I ran out onto my porch and shouted his name. I thought I'd be the only person in my neighborhood who'd be doing this, but my neighbors were doing the same thing! I was already blubbering but I laughed out loud in delight.

Edit: I checked our SOS site...he's actually only .6% down, or about 18,000 votes, with about 80 precincts still to report!...

9. Not according to our SOS website
at http://www.sos.mo.gov/enrweb/allresults.asp?eid=256

The raw numbers do appear to be closing though. It's showing a diff of about 17,500 now at 1:13 local.
