what the hell is John King talking about, re. the south?
He made a big deal about Obama not winning any counties in Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, etc. There is no way in hell that Obama lost majority-black counties. I just don't think that is possible. WTF? I think John is high or something.

But President-Elect Obama did almost exactly the same, at least in Alabama, as John Kerry did. Though, I did think Obama would do a little better than he did here. Not a lot but a little, anyway.

2. his map was wrong
It showed zero blue counties in TX, Al, MS AR and maybe others. In reality dozens of counties went blue in those states, and more blue counties in the south were won by Obama than Kerry. I was yelling at the TV when he said that, while the correct maps were on my computer from cnn.com.

7. hey Lefty!
I really had a feeling President-Elect Obama would get about 45% in Alabama. But he got almost exactly the same as Kerry. That disappoints me a little. But my joy at the new president's victory overall soothes the pain. :D
