I've never seen anything like it - parties in the streets all over Seattle! |
|
I've never seen a reaction to an election like this! What's going on in other cities?

Cars were everywhere, honking, shouting, waving. One guy with an Obama sign ran over to me at a stoplight and gave me a high-5.

No joy in Dimwitville.
Just the sounds of exploding heads in the night.
Pat Peale, the infamous band-aide lady lives about sixteen miles to the East, when her head blew it shook my walls.

I am here in red East Tn and when I came home from my parents house party about 1:30am all the lights in my huge neighborhood were off. Huge number of dems here. I couldn't help it,I blew my horn coming down the street. I am enjoying watching all the happy people on the videos though. I am there in spirit. :headbang: :yourock: :woohoo: :applause:

23. We are in Fort Worth, and there was dancing and hugging and honking of horns |
|
Ms Prophet held her sign up, shouting "Obama!" - and the guy driving the street sweeper let out HUGE airhorn that echoed in the street. We met strangers on the sidewalk and gave hugs and slaps. Went to a celebration at the Hilton and cheered/cried together during President-elect Obama's spech.
On our way home I honked and Ms Prophet shouted out the window, where the late night taxi drivers and night workers shouted back with cheers.
A very good day, today. We are ONE - we who can SEE.

Of course it's Guy Fawkes Day too but I like to think a few of them are for the return of sanity to US politics. I had a beer with my Indian and Maori neighbors and they seemed well chuffed about it.
