3. Actually they had a lead-in with the Japanese Prime Minister congratulatng Obama and then
they showed JAPANESE dancers in HULA skirts dancing
a hula dance, singing YES WE CAN in a celebration
to honor Obama.

I almost fell off my chair.

4. That's very strange.

I know the Japanese like to travel to Hawaii... and that there is a significant Japanese American population in Hawaii... but I've never seen Japanese from Japan take up Hawaiian customs or dance. Salsa... yes, some of the best Salsa dancers in the world are Japanese... but I've never seen Hula dancers from Japan.

Well, learned a few new things tonight.

About a group of Japanese students who dress up as Hawaiians and do Hawaiian dances..it became very popular. I don't recall the name of the movie, but things American and Hawaiian are very popular in parts of Japan.
