I can't wait to go to the truckstop tommorrow

I usually "stop by" the truckstop to pick up a newspaper, or a six-pack, or a bag of peanuts.

Tomorrow, I'm going to the truckstop.

During the past few weeks, I've developed a sort of relationship with a cashier there.

I started wearing my Obama For President Shirt a lot.

And shortly she noticed.

And she started talking to me a little bit extra.

And we just got kind of friendly. Nothing big. We just talk in the store.

As much as I wanted President-Elect Obama to win, and it was a lot, I knew she had to want it even a little more. A very kind, hard-working, beautiful, friendly single mother of one.

As much as I craved an Obama victory, I did not, in my bones, think it could happen.

She had faith, and as I look back, I can see it.

Don't get faith mixed up with religion. It's not the same thing.

I will go hug her today.

(And joke with her about how "her" gas prices are starting to go back up, since the election is over.)
