Let's give Howard Dean a shout-out for the great 50-state plan!!!
Seriously, we weren't going to win these elections if we only campaigned in part of the country. And even though we didn't win 50 states we picked up alot of former red states and were competitive in many that stayed red.

I hope this will be the first of many great victories for the democrats!!!

9. Hey, what? No hangover?
:hi:

I am about as happy as a woman can be this morning.

Dropped my girls off at high school, with them
divvying up the Obama pins before heading in!
They were some HAPPY democrats this morning, after
working so hard in 04 and having to eat crow.
Today they eat like KINGS!

I promised them a shopping trip to the mall if
Obama wins, and now I've gotta pay up!

11. I did drink, but no hangover.
I had four or five beers, and was up until like 3 a.m.

I got up at 8 because I was so excited. As I was reading the paper, it finally hit me that Obama, and the Democrats, won. It overwhelmed me, and I started sobbing! :)

Sounds like you had a great morning, and are going to have an even better evening! Enjoy! :hi:

16. Laura was up late working at the State Rep headquarters....
haven't seen her so involved in a LONG time.

By the way, WE WON.

Sarah Roberts is our new State Rep for the 24th district.

She beat out the jackass son of the Republican incumbent
who had been term limited.

2. We owe victory to the work and inspiration of Howard Dean.
If people had listened to him 4 years ago we
would have been spared so much....

I hope he takes a well deserved vacation!

THANK YOU HOWARD!!!

3. indeed
And it is more than just "winning" or even "being competitive. It is "reaching across the aisle." The message about "All America" is legitimized by this; otherwise it would be just sloganeering.

6. He's a hero....
..a true hero and a political visionary. I hope he gets his due and I hope he has a place in an Obama administration.

And I don't care if he came around in the end, Carville can eat a bag of shit as far as I'm concerned. I could see his support of Hillary. That made sense and was just political loyalty and good for him on that. But his criticism of Dean even in the face of his continued successes shows just what a hack he is.

14. I'll happily kick and recommend any dean thread I can
It's important to remember the role that his candidacy and chairmanship played in a democratic victory--and in those which are to come.

15. Between changing demographics and a very aggressive congressional campaign here in AZ--
we'll be blue soon.

BTW, Lynne--I got the word on Monday. In February or March I'll be moving to Cologne, Germany! At least Mr. B@L will and me and the younger are going to try to wait til his school year ends.

Talk about mixed feelings...:cry::rofl:, etc.

home state.

I really believe that.

18. I believe so as well. For once, we ran an aggressive campaign, ran great candidates in
every race, and spent some serious resources on GOTV.

That it was even as close as it was astonished me.

22. Howard Dean shall always be for me
the Captain With The Mighty Heart. I was in that ballroom not 15 feet away from Howard Dean when he screamed in Iowa. We were cooked that night. But he was right. We needed to compete everywhere. So, reluctantly for some, the Democrats did. Last night is the result. I will continue to work my butt off for President-Elect Obama. But my heart will always be for my Captain, Howard Dean.
