It occurs to me that the November surprise

may have been Cheney's cadaverous endorsemen of McCain. It allowed Obama to stick it to McCain one last time, and link him yet again to the disastrous policies of the last eight years. Which leads one to speculate, as we all did about the bin Laden tape in 2004: whose side is Cheney really on? Or is he just a clueless, narcissistic, pathologically out of touch motherfucker who has no idea how much the American electorate hates him?

I'm going with that second thing, I think.
