Okay. I *know* this is petty, but did anyone else see
McCain's mother virtually ignore Cindy when they were leaving the stage after that pathetic concession speech?

I saw it. It made me warm and tingly.

Petty. Yes. I know that. I'm still reveling in an Obama win.

1. Not my take...
My take was a frail 90 year old who was cold and overwhelmed by the large crowd.

2. I didn't see Cindy reach out to her, though, which I thought was telling.

3. That speech was not pathetic. It was conciliatory, respectful and
more like the old John McCain that some of us once respected despite our disagreement with many of his positions.

5. It was pathetic. It was a patronizing, condescending speech that
essentially said that the only reason Barack won is because of the AA turnout.

It was hideously disrespectful and something I would expect from McCain.

8. Sorry, I hated his speech. Whomever wrote it for him thinks it okay NOW to take the high road.
I'm likening it to getting roses the day after someone punches you in the face. The vile reaction of his crowd, whom he nearly couldn't contain, when Obama was mentioned as an honorable man, tells you everything. And frankly, I felt his speech was fresh meat for the racists.. because McCain reduced it to a win because AAs voted for Obama.. instead it was a referendum by voters of ALL colors, on the dismal failure of the republican party.

6. McCain's mom is an egomaniacal bizzatch.
I know it's not nice to say that about an old person, but my Gawd she is scary. Narcissist, if I ever did see one!
