Who cried last night?
I am a 21 year old college student and I am not ashamed at all to say I cried last night when the announcement was made. I worked on Kerry's campaign, so this has been a long time coming.

There is nothing like hearing the announcement of who wins the election.

Last night was America's Finest Hour.

This morning I did it all again. Now, however, I'm crying tears of frustration that Prop 8 passed in California. :(

16. I was surprised how emotional I got.
I had shed tears during the campaign when I read or saw moving pieces, but when they called it for Obama I gasped and then cried harder then I have for years. I didn't realize how much I was holding back and how much it really meant to me. This got my hubby started and then we cried and laughed like we'd lost our minds...LOL Confused the hell outta the dogs.

20. Steve Colbert
I was watching Comedy Central when the broke the news. Colbert got interested in his laptop and had to remove his glasses to wipe his eyes. Then they went into a planned skit.

I also teared up during the victory speech, but Obama exudes that kind of hope that makes me feel my grandchildren will grow up in a better world when I'm gone.

26. Still crying here too especially when "Signed, Sealed, Delivered"
is played.

The last 8 years have been such a nightmare personally in a financial sense and morally with the war, ab u ghar ib, corrupt, gas prices, etc. etc. It salt in the wound of McCain's dirty campaign.. and Palin ugh!

Then the fear that the repubs would somehow steal this election and that damn commercial running nonstop the last 48 hours. It seemed it was on every channel I turned to. Heard it about 7:30 pm last night for last time.

Now peace, relief, and yes, tears.

Lord, protect Obama and his family. And give him peace. What was painful last night was he was grieving for his Grandmother. I pray he can get rest and peace and his joy returns. I really think he's a great man to endure what he's endured just this last week and kept his cool.
