*****THE OFFICIAL KEITH OLBERMANN APPRECIATION THREAD****** |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 10:51 AM by DeepBlueDem
He did an unbelievable job on last nights election coverage. He definitely gave us insight on historical importance, win/loss analysis, and trends. I emailed countdown and expressed my appreciation for the great job he did last night.
Thank you, Keith

10. When does Chuck Todd sleep? |
|
He's on in the morning with Scarborough, he's on in the evening, and he shows up for the late night progams.
Is he some political MSNBC robot? CNN only has a hologram.

3. So it's OK to start liking him again? |
|
Wasn't it just a few weeks ago many people here were complaining how he was so obviously in the tank for McCain? That he should be fired and replaced?

|
...as usual. Keith and Rachel have become our Liberal voices on the MSM. I hope that they keep them on, now that they will probably have less material, at least Presidential material, to work with.

Olbermann is MSNBC'S rating giant, and supposedly all of the big wigs at NBC are really high on Maddow.

9. K.O. was our first MSM voice |
|
Remember some of us crying at hearing his first special comments on the tee vee? He took a risk and spoke for us and eventually changed the landscape at MSNBC.
Thank you Keith!!

28. Remember when we would call it "MSGOP"? |
|
How perceptive of them to realize that most of the country would like a news outlet that doesn't lean insanely to the right.
Keith and Rachel give me something to watch every weeknight that doesn't make me shout in rage.
I'd LOVE to see more progressive voices on mainstream television.
And Fox should become a ratings-free wasteland.

What he's done for our party and this country is immeasurable. For so long, he was one of the few liberal voices with a national platform speaking truth to power. I've begin to hear some of my left leaning friends recently start saying they they don't like him much anymore. Well, I'll just have to love him enough for all of us.

It was so fitting and proper that it be him. Put tears in my eyes. Thanks, Keith, for keeping me from sticking hot needles in my eyes the past four years.

It's good to have someone in the media who speaks for US and not the Repukes. He and Rachel are the only two I can bear to watch -- I hope I'll be watching both of them for many years to come!
