I don't want right wingers to be "OK with" Obama winning at all or to "accept it." Why?
Because I don't want Obama to do things that appease them. They had their way for 8 years, now it's our turn for 8 years. In fact, each time I see another Republican or right-winger say that it's OK or they accept Obama, such as GWB or Elizabeth Hasselbeck, it makes me more disappointed. Obama and the Democrats have to do things that will piss them off royally, in order to save this country from what they have been doing to it.

1. first, by saying they accept Obama they are simply saving face
in private they're as ugly as ever

Second, Obama wants to heal a lot of the divisiveness in America and I think it's a good idea to go for inclusion - just don't placate the bastards

2. I want them to SUFFER
and, I said before Obama won, I hope his election kills at least one hateful racist bastard who shouted "kill him" or anything like that anywhere. I hope they just can't fucking take it and keel over.

3. We need some of them to continue showing their asses and their true selves
Just so people never forget how stupid and hateful the right-wing's base really is.

That will Bachmann's purpose, I suppose.

5. Why lower ourselves?
Obama is going to take this country in a very different direction than Bu$h did. He's going to go on with his agenda, and as the GOP did for six years, the Dems aren't gonna give a fuck what they think. That alone will piss them off. Why go out of your way to make them angry? It's childish, and Obama got to be President partly because he was the rock-solid natural leader.

Let things be. The Republicans can adapt or get left behind. End of story.

6. I didn't mean he should purposely do things just to piss them off. I mean that
the things he needs to do are going to piss them off anyway. What scares me is RWers being happy with him in the long run, which would mean he didn't instigate the changes necessary.

7. I have listened to Right Wing Hateful Crap for 8 years, I refuse to become like they were
While they have controlled the white house, we have been demonized, called unpatriotic among even worse names. We are now in control but I refuse to lower myself to their standards. Let's do things our way but kill them with kindness. We could end up with a lot more voting our way next time.

10. I agree. Continuing the hate..
does nothing, but continue the hate. It's odd how those who say the most outrageous, despicable things are given the spotlight, even by those who supposedly want change. Last night I was amazed by how many threads were brought here by the various ugly sites. Within the first moments of victory, the ugly was given prominence.

8. Bill Bennett last night talked all around it, saying "this is a great country", etc...
stuff like that without mentioning Obama by name. But I hear you. It's like Palin being "tolerant" of GLBT issues; to tolerate, is not to accept. I 'tolerate' long lines at the grocery store, or grid-locked traffic. But accept them lees so always looking for ways to offer recommendations for their being more streamlined and accommodating to me.

These "OK with", "accept it" offerings often delivered along with smirks of their own, are imo actually theater EXITS, fall back positions for when things turn back around. They confirm no long term appreciation for the human condition. But at this juncture we may be asking for too much...

We like Og. He's an alright sort of caveman. We even smile round the fire as he goes on & freaking on about that time he showed up late for the mastodon hunt with dried mud on his face. We understand that he is essentially a duuph, but he's our duuph. While a few of us are "OK with" his routinely, somehow, dumping what little water we have on the fire and douching it out...others of us are not. My sense is that it will be this way for some time to come Hasselbeck or no, which, by the by...

Elizabeth needs to be pushed in Og's mud puddle

9. Republicans tried and failed
In the world of science, or political science, you do not repeat the same trial knowing you will receive the same error.

Their way is done. But maybe they can build a new trial, and if things are going poorly, the people will give it a fair chance.

13. Oh come on, you should want 32 years of democrat control of the whitehouse...and you can't get there
by being petty. This "its our turn" bull it what was wrong with the LAST eight years.
