Watching the incredibly diverse crowd of thousands at Indiana Dem Headquarters last night in Indianapolis erupt into deafening, roaring cheers and weeping with joy as Obama was declared the winner of the election was a sight that will stay with me for the rest of my life. It was beyond description to see whites, blacks, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Latinos and people of all stations in life come together as one to celebrate Obama's victory. It has not only renewed my belief in humanity, it has revived it from a coma.
It is rare in American history for us as a people to actually achieve and realize the lofty ideals we perpetually claim to cherish, but last night we did.
Cheers to the DU family! You guys rock!
