Anyone know?

3. If Obama will come down and energize the Democrats for Martin
a very good chance. If not, Suxby will probably win. Run-offs are low-turnout. If we can get some money and a GOTV effort like we had last night, though, we could pull it off.

10. Martin's best hope is that Saxby inserts his foot in mouth a few more times
If the election were held tomorrow, Saxby would unfortunately get re-elected. But the election isn't tomorrow and anything can happen in the next few weeks.

5. Count me in.
Martin did not have a presence in SW Ga. We've got to correct that.

We will need huge GOTV efforts as the turnout we had for Obama is not at all a given in a runoff.

I would love to see him defeated. Maybe one last big push.

7. We can take this, we need to really support Martin in the run off.
I am pleased we are making Chambliss at least sweat it out.

8. That is if Martin, once we hear "ALL" the votes, does not win outright. nt

12. I'm gonna send Martin a few bucks when this is confirmed
I know his odds are slim but seeing Chambliss tossed out on his ass would be amazing.

13. There are some factors that may work in Martin's favor
The Republicans are now demoralized and emotionally spent. Second, Chambliss may have some soft support that can be peeled away. Those voters see the affirmation from the country as a whole that Obama is mainstream and a winner. Most importantly Chambliss will be representing Georgia in the minority party. There is a case to be made that Martin would be a far more effective choice for representing Georgia's interest within the current political reality. FWIW.
