MADRID.- De países ignorados a aliados fieles.

MADRID. From ignored countries to loyal allies. Barack Obama's victory will reverse the deteriorated relationship between the United States and Spain. The President of Spain, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, has not been able to hide his satisfaction for the victory of the Democratic candidate and has expressed that the new American President will have in Spain "a loyal friend and ally"

5. It's amazing that the entire world is chiming in today in unison with a resounding message
One that bridges the gap of the last 8 years in an instant. That the world embraces us back on the stage and is willing to work with us for the greater good.

Something we haven't heard in 8 long, excruciating years.

6. Zapatista. I just figured it out. That's what McCain confused Zapatero with.
He didn't know the difference between the Spanish President and Mexican "revolutionaries".

Wow.

Maybe he thought of the "zapateros" the "shoemakers", that's what he meant: He would not sit and talk to the shoemakers.
