Palin "Shopping Spree" Bigger Than Reported
Political Wire on a Newsweek story:

In their special election edition, Newsweek reports that Gov. Sarah Palin's "shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy."

"One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family -- clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill."

"Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent 'tens of thousands' more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost. An angry aide ... said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books."

Oops.

2. Those disgusting Republican Country Club First snobs hired Caribou Barbie
so they can just STFU if she shopped to much.

SCREW YOU SNOBS !!

They hired her and promoted her as a wonderful charming person whose corruption had been exaggerated.

They marketed her as the fabulous reformer we were all sure to benefit from as our VP and they sent her out there to fan the flames of hatred to push the Republicans' favorite angry old man upon us,

so they can cut out their critiques of the "Hillbilly" from Wasilla shopping too much.

But I forgot-- they are the true Republican elitists-- you're not rich until you've got at least $5 million and not truly admirable until you have too many homes to count,

but you have to use those cute little Hillbillies to win the culture war with those you've dumbed down already--- OR SO YOU THOUGHT.

You can just EAT THOSE SHOPPING BILLS, Nicole.

The whole GOP's elitist Country Club First crowd, with their The Ends Justify the Means ethics, can go hang themselves.

8. What did they expect? Charging Per Diem for staying in her own home...
Charging the taxpayers of Alaska to take her kids on State sponsored trips (that they hadn't been invited to).

Of course she's going to milk the wealthy GOP donors as much as she can.

She says she and Tawd are frugal...yeah, frugal with THEIR money. Yours and mine? well that's something completely different.

Good Riddance Princess Yup Yup.

14. She was spending about 3-4K on a jacket..the red leather one was
10K, so 150K does not really go that far! I knew it had to be more. Years of reading Vogue magazine do pay off - lol!
