2008 (unofficial) Popular vote Obama 62,682,786 McCain 55,543,823 Percentage Obama 52% McCain 46%
Fox news gushed about how Bush's margin of victory in 2004 signaled he had a mandate from the electorate. Funny, I don't think I've been hearing them say the same thing about Obama's victory, despite it eclipsing 2004.

The guy said, no, this was a "reasonable" victory, but not a mandate.
An electoral near-landslide and majorities in both the Senate and the House with increased seats in both? How is that not a mandate?
