5. He didn't lose, because that amount (less than .5%) triggered an automatic recount.
Begins mid-November.

13. We have optical scanning for our tallies. A hand count will bring a more accurate count,
especially for the folks who, instead of "filling in the bubble" either put an "x" through the oval or circled the oval. I think Franken can win this with an accurate recount.

12. If it does turn out that Franken has lost,
I hope there is not a lot of complaining or accusations that the election was stolen. It is possible for a Republican to honestly beat a Democrat. Minnesota has honest elections and it is very possible that the third party candidate did take more votes from Franken than from Coleman.
