20. It's a Mandate..Obama and Biden will set out
to do what they campaigned on.

Too bad about those who want eternal war.

23. Hey, what about all of the votes the GOP stole?
Don't forget them.

I wonder what an honest election would have shown.

4. It ain't meaningless at all.
The size of the landslide is important. The creeps are going to be denying that there is any popular mandate here.

6. I think it's somewhat important
1) for an indication of a "mandate" in that he got over 50% of the vote
2) To see which pollsters were accurate in this cycle so we'll be prepared for next-time.

22. How much did "W" steal by in '00 and win by in '04?
Curious.

It's gonna be a lot easier to get the ball rolling when the president is supported by an obvioius majority.. and not a minority ('00) or a razor thin majority that had more to do with getting old folks to the polls while making sure the college kids kept away from the polls ('04).

24. I still can't believe that almost 56 million people
voted for the horrendous McCain/Palin ticket, arguably the worst presidential ticket in US history with the filthiest, most vile campaign I've ever seen. A sad old man and a whacked out opportunist -- and 46 percent of Americans wanted them to run the country. It may be time to move.
