The Youth Vote Came out STRONG for Obama.
While there may only be a 1% increase in the Youth Vote this year, it is clear that we were Barack's base. In 2004, Kerry won 18-29 year olds by only 9 points with them making up 17% of the vote. This year, with 18-29 year olds making up 18% of the vote, Obama won them by 66-32, more than 2 to 1. The next best group for Obama was 30-44 yeear olds and they supported Obama by 6 points.

I think its time we lay off the young people...dont ya think? I think a big thank you is in order.

2. Oh just fucking great...
I get excoriated as part of the youth vote that failed to turn out for Kerry, then I turn 30 and am no longer "the youth vote" and NOW they get cheered?

God damn it!! :grr:

6. The question was never which way they would break. So what percentage voted?
and how does that compare to other groups?

7. No surprise there.
The youth vote and the AA vote were his strongest demographics since the primaries.
