Soledad O'Brien is really hard to listen to.... |
|
This is the first time I've seen her and I am not impressed. CNN needs to get her off the TV.

2. She talks really fast and her voice is a little too high pitched for my comfort. |

Also, I think it really turned me off last night that she brought up the comparison of Obama and MLK leaving the notion of assassination in our psyche. I know we talk about it on the board, but I just didn't want to hear anything about Obama and assassination in the same thought. Not even in association. Maybe I am hypersensitive to it since Palin's rallies have disgusted me so much.
to add: I'll come back later. Gotta go p/u my little girl.

4. You should have seen her on the CNN morning show with Miles O'Brien. |
|
They were the O'Brien Twins: both right wingers that could ignore a Bush gaffe like no one else. It was a disgrace. I used to shout at the television regularly, which is not a good way to start your day. Finally, I just quit watching CNN. I abandoned the whole network because I can't stand Wolfie, the O'Brien Twins (they aren't really related, as far as I know), Paula Zahn, and most of the rest of them.
Lou Dobbs has his moments, but we know where his heart is (the wrong place).
I like Jack Cafferty. Anderson Cooper is OK, but should really come out of the closet.
MSNBC is maddening, but they have Keith and Rachel, both of whom I adore, so I watch MSNBC mostly as a show of support. I do write to complain, however, and I let MSNBC know that the only reason their network is on in my home is because of Keith and Rachel. If not for them, MSNBC and its advertisers would be ignored.

6. I do too when I'm at home. But I was at my mom's and she doesn't get MSNBC. |
|
So weird. She gets CNN but not MSNBC. But CNN wasn't that bad last night. The only one that I couldn't stand (on CNN last night) besides Soledad is William Bennett...but fortunately he didn't stick around. Now that is one arrogant POS.

8. I gave up CNN a while back and watched it last night b/c it is the only cable news channel at my |
|
mom's. When I can, I usually watch Keith and Rachel too.
But last night I watched CNN and they focused on David Gergen a lot and he was good. There was another guy there that I had never seen before, William Bennett. I was glad that he left early. His contribution seemed so out of place.

I stopped watching it when they left. I thought they were always very professional.

even if her voice is a little high.

Black in America special that CNN did this summer. She's been in the field a a long time. Weird . Never noticed a thing about her voice.

13. O'Brien is decent compared to most of her lackluster |
|
and incompetent peers.
I can deal with her but then I think she's super cute.
