6. Texas will flip blue in the next eight years |
|
It's getting too Hispanic/Latino not to. The Repukes demographics are horrifying, from their point of view. Dems making huge gains in the expanding slices of the population pie while the Repuke base is stagnant/dying off.

4. And they lost VA, NC, FL and almost lost GA |
|
The South is the only region of the country that went for McCain.
The North went 117-0 for Obama The Midwest went 96-28 for Obama The West went 96-28 for Obama and the South went 118-55 for McCain
If the Dems can turn GA and TX in the next election cycle, we will be dominating the Republicans in electoral votes even in the South.

Oklahoma.
Y'all need better schools up there or something.
At least all the bigger cities in Texas went for Obama. (She said trying to scrape together something redeeming about my home state.)

I'm at a total loss. I think Oklahoma is falling further behind as all the good people just pick up a leave.

12. Maybe when Obama celebrates Christmas at the White House, |
|
doesn't come get their guns, doesn't tax all their money away and doesn't paint the White House black - maybe then those people might begin to doubt the politicians who told them he would.

9. The GOP direly needs to reinvent itself because their isolated Demographics |
|
will destroy them in about 8 years. The Democratic Party has become the party of the future and inclusion. We don't seperate segments of the population and call only 30% REAL Americans.

10. We need to turn the west solid blue, just so we have a nice regional base. |
|
It's possible. After all, MT almost went for Obama. Fucking Montana.

11. We're a twp party country, with self-identifying GOP (which has to re-form) |
|
Until then, we are creating a new all-inclusive, big tent Democratic party, which I hope will hold for the very necessary problem-solving ahead.
Rollins and others want to remain viable with opinion that rings true, now that GOP partisan posturing isn't as necessary, accepted or clear as to what it is.
