1. What ever...
I want Barack to lead the country, but be responsive to the people as well.

You offer a false duality.

4. I offered no duality. I'm pretty sure I did just the opposite.

7. False dichotomy, perhaps.
You present this as if there are two (and only two) distinct and incompatible choices.

It's not as simple as that.

But you know that, don't you?

What are you getting at here, and how is your point served by the way this poll of yours is presented?

8. Yeah, maybe false dichotomy.
I was just struck by so many people supporting idiocy like Colin Powell while abandoning the idea of for the people by the people.

5. LOL!!!!
Another inane piece of crap. However, I'll answer your question: I voted for Obama to exercise his best judgment, to listen to the people, and yes, to lead this country.

6. So, you believe it's the job of the government to lead the people?
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 02:50 PM by BuyingThyme
What do you call this form of government of yours? And why does it make you so mad if people bring it up?

Are you afraid of being made a fool of once again?

(For those of you unaware, Cali is my simple stalker. Because I caught Cali lying about some very important things, Cali stalks my threads and posts this kind of insane crap. I enjoy making an ass of simple Cali.)

10. Barack himself has said that "Change" doesn't come from him
It comes from US. Just like the economy, reality proves that it's goes from the bottom up, not the top down.

11. We elect leaders who will follow the will of the people.
That is the fundamental nature of a representative democratic republic. We elect those we believe will best represent the will of the constituency. If we do not like the way they lead us, we have the option of electing someone else. Not very difficult but quite effective.

So I vote "Both".

I supported Richardson early on because he was one of the six smartest candidates back then......

16. No.
I don't need leading. The nation does and the Federal government does. I voted for him to manage the Federal government.

But no dipping.
