When we learned last night that Obama had won...

I, my wife, our 16-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son opened a bottle of wine. I poured a glass for my wife, my daughter, and myself, and a glass of non-alcoholic grape juice for my son. We then toasted the new President.

I kissed my daughter and son and told them this election was more about them than their mom and dad.

Then we went to bed.
