There are a lot of unsung heroes today. Let's remedy this. Who do YOU want to personally thank?
I'll start it off:

THANK YOU

*** jake3463 ***

Many times since December you inspired me to turn away from the news and actually reach out to voters.
You are one righteous dude. (I assume. Not having met you, it's possible you're a 9 year old Icelander or whatever.)

Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 02:43 PM by blm
Clintons and their loyalists controlled the Dem party. They united around Obama early on - earlier than media ever caught on - and Kerry turned over his national organization to work for Obama (minus the Clinton loyalists who left for HRC2008, they joined well with Obama's people).

With Dean as head of DNC they would have a Dem party machine working for ALL Dem candidates and voters in every state, and not just being held in place for when TeamClinton needed it.

Dean, Daschle, Durbin and Kerry - the best front line a Dem nominee could have.

for putting his bad mojo on McStain by endorsing him on SNL last week!

So many DUers who offered so much encouragement to get out and MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

And baby, TINA FEY for the spot on impersonation and AMY POHLER for that rap to die for.

who got the ball rolling. He took a big chance, went out on a limb, and took on Bushco. He really came through for us in a big way.

12. Agree with hesitation.... wish he limited his comments to Bush and the Republicans. But looking at
cable news now, there is a trend there that didn't exist before Olbermann.

14. Yes - when he started his Special Comments in summer 2006 it was a HUGE advance for truth which had
been noticeably absent in the corpmedia since 1998. All Dems needed was even a LITTLE airtime that would allow the truth to be heard. We can win with only 75% of corpmedia protecting BushInc. Difficult to claim a Dem win when 90% of corpmedia is carrying BushInc's water.

His bravery and courage during his dying days played a role in ensuring the passage the landmark civil rights legislation of 1964. I think we should be profoundly grateful to him for the legacy that he helped leave us
