"Why would they try to make people hate us?" - Michelle Obama
Palin's legacy:

The Obama campaign was provided with reports from the Secret Service showing a sharp and very disturbing increase in threats to Obama in September and early October, at the same time that the crowds at Palin rallies became more frenzied. Michelle Obama was shaken by the vituperative crowds and the hot rhetoric from the GOP candidates. "Why would they try to make people hate us?" Michelle Obama said to a top campaign aide.

1. Because they're hateful, stupid people who love power and will stop
at nothing they think will help them obtain/keep it.

2. Michelle's questions speaks volumes about the way this country
has been run. Greed and pure hate beat within the hearts of so many on the right. I know President Obama can make a dent in their hardness, I know he can.

3. Because hate is all they know, Michelle.
It is obscene that instead of being marginalized and made an example of what we, as a nation, should fight against, they are egged on and catered to. The repub party feeds their hatred and ignorance in order to retain power.

5. Because winning is all that matters to them and they don't care
if anyone in their way gets hurt.

6. Why, Michelle?
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 03:17 PM by SoCalDem
because in their little narrow world-view, winning is EVERYTHING, and if someone dares to get in their way, ANY measure is "on the table" , so they might win.

McCain/Palin people KNEW the caliber of people they were influencing, and if one of them just happened to run with the code-mesage, and eliminate the opposition, they would have been okie-doke with it.:puke:
