I keep waiting for some new poll to come out or for a breathless new Drudge headline to appear that will send us to our battle stations. I tuned into Limbaugh today to gloat, but even he was more boring and defeated than anything. Same with a lot of other Republicans- it's like Darth Vader has been transformed into some old harmless guy ranting next door. What does the resistance do when the empire has been defeated? Pelosi's comments today indicated that we can't afford universal health care anytime soon, which kind of puts a damper on the hopes for a big legislative agenda. It's all very quiet, and part of me will miss the excitement of the election.
